appropriate credit! More info on more games to

Pokémon
Red / Blue
Elite FourStrategies
Prepare
for the Worst
Elite Four are no pushovers. Well that's if you
don't have any superpowered Pokemon. If you want
to beat them, while showing that you are the best
Pokemon master and trainer, you have to do it the
hard way. Since you can't go back ever to heal
once you enter (unless you lose you go back),
make sure you have a LOT of Max Potions, Revives
(hope you saved those Full Revives...those are
better), and Full Heals. Between each of the
Elite, you'll have a chance to use items, so don't
waste it! Heal all of your Pokemon completely and
continue to the next person. Level 45 - 50
Pokemon are recomended. A good team to have is:
Butterfree, Alakazam/Kadabra, Lv45+ Pidgey,
Flareon, Lv50+ Shellder, and your beginning
Pokemon in it's first form with all it's skills
learned. It's also a good idea to have as much of
your Pokemon have the skill Hyper Beam, which can
be bought at the Coin Exchange at Celadon City.
Speed is also an important key. Take them out as
fast as you can, if they get you first with a
Freeze or Stun attack, you're more likely to be
toast.

Lorelei
Type: ICE
Lineup
Dewgong - Lv54
Cloyster - Lv53
Slowbro - Lv 54
Jynx - Lv56
Lapras - Lv56 This
Ice master is easy depending on how you
apporoch her. I suggest bringing a really
fast Pokemon. If she hits first, you
might end up gettin your butt Frozen and
you'll really be in a bind. Fire,
Fighting, or Rock type will really help
here. If you used the team I suggested,
go with Flareon. It's Fire Spin and
Flamethrower will do well here. But if
for some reason you get frozen, don't
switch yet. Use a Full Heal/Restore and
you're back in the game. Lorelei's most
powerful Pokemon should be her Jynx and
Lapras. Take them out fast cause they
pack a mean punch. Heed our advice and
Lorelei will be puttin ice on her head in
the morning.

Bruno
Type: Fighting/Rock
Lineup
Onix - Lv53
Hitmonchan - Lv55
Hitmonlee - Lv55
Onix - Lv56
Machamp - Lv58 You
must be thinking, "Aw Bruno only
looks tough. He shouldn't be hard."
Well think again punk! Don't start
slacking now! Bruno's Pokemon are on the
offensive and his Onixs have a tough
defense. If any of his Pokemon slam you
with a onslought of Hit Points, you
better rethink your strategy. Again if
you're using our recommended team,
Alakazam/Kadabra will be enough for his
fighting Pokemon and the pumped Pidgey is
good for the Onixs. If you chose Squirtle
at the begining of the game, here is a
good chance to use him. Have this plan,
and Bruno won't be able to bench press
out a victory.

Agatha
Type: Ghost/Poison
Lineup
Gengar - Lv56
Golbat - Lv56
Haunter - Lv55
Arbok - Lv58
Gengar - Lv60 Agatha
must have a lot of time and experience
with Pokemon. Especially if she's dealing
Ghost and Poison Pokemon. Heck, she might
as well be a ghost! Well to send this
Elite back to the graveyard, just make
sure you have some Full Heals in handy.
Once you get Poisoned, heal! It will
accumulate and be more costly. If you
used our dream team, Butterfree and
Flareon will be of most use. Use
Butterfree and his Pyschic attacks
against the Ghost Pokemon. He should be
fast enough to be able to hit em first.
Remember, Normal attacks won't do against
Ghost Pokemon! Flareon will easily burn
those Poison Pokemon. If Agatha uses
Drain, be sure to use a Max Potion soon.
|

Lance
Type: Dragon
Lineup
Gyarados - Lv58
Dragonair - Lv56
Dragonair - Lv56
Aerodactyl - Lv60
Dragonite - Lv62 For
most of you, this might be your first
encounter with Dragon Pokemon. Trust me,
they are tough. Lance will be, of course,
the toughest of the Elite Four. There
aren't any type of Pokemon that defend
well against Dragon Pokemon, so have a
lot of Max Potions in handy. The
recommended team's Shellder and his Ice
attacks will do enough damage here. But
if he should be taken down, go to your
next strongest Pokemon and have them use
Hyper Beam. Mmm... fried Dragon...
|

Gary/Rival
Lineup
Pidgeot - Lv61
Alakazam - Lv59
Rhydon - Lv61
Now the rest of the lineup depend on
which Pokemon you chose at the beginning
of the game:
(You chose Bulbasaur)
Exeggutor - Lv61
Gyarados - Lv63
Charizard - Lv65
(You chose Charmander)
Arcanine - Lv61
Exeggcutor - Lv63
Blastoise - Lv65
(You chose Squirtle)
Gyarados - Lv61
Arcanine - Lv63
Venusaur - Lv65 Here
he is, your Rival stands, with the title
as the Greatest Pokemon Master. Now it's
your turn to dish out the punishment and
take that title. Gary obviously fights
smart, so you have to be smarter. Speed
and defense are best. Hyper beam and your
strongest attacks should be used. Gary's
bruteness also is tough so have lots of
Max Potions and Revives. You should be
used to our dream team by now so use your
best judgement when battling. It's also a
good idea to switch to a fresh Pokemon if
one of Gary's faints and you are given a
chance to. Now you should be packed with
power, so good luck!
