Ash...
our main character in the ever popular
Pokémon world. Starting with a humble
begining, Ash was a cocky novice that
dreamed of being the best Pokémon master.
He lived in Pallet Town with his mother,
Deliela. He eagerly waited for his time
to become a Pokémon trainer, and recieve
his first Pokémon. The day finally
arrived, but he had overslept and made it
to Professor Oak's Lab late! Now because
of his foolishness, the other Pallet Town
trainers, including Ash's rival, Gary,
had already recieved their Pokémon and
were on their way! Ash begged Professor
Oak if there were any left. Professor Oak
of course had one left... but warned Ash
that it was an untamed Pokémon and would
be difficult to handle. Ash was
enthralled at the challenged and accepted
his new Pokémon with open arms. The Pokémon
didn't recieve his new master the same
way. Pikachu,
an electric mouse, shocked Ash, and was
as grumpy as ever. He wouldn't even go
into his Pokéball! Ash didn't mind, he
dragged Pikachu along with rubber gloves
and began his long journey with a rough
start...
But Ash, determined and hard-headed as
ever, won Pikachu over after a whole
ordeal with some Spearow and Fearow. Ash
won Pikachu's trust and love, and they
became the best of friends and companions.
Ash became more compassionate and learned
new things as he continued his journey...Soon,
Ash would make new friends, including
Misty, Brock, and many others; and
enemies, like Team Rocket who would
attempt to steal Pikachu whenever they
could but to no avail. Ash learned to
befriend his Pokémon, to train them hard,
and to always listen to their feelings.
He was never dettered by any obsticle,
and always thrived at a challenge.
As a trainer, Ash was to catch and train
Pokémon. Although his rival Gary had the
upper hand in catching more Pokémon, Ash
would make it up in heart and skill. His
first Pokémon catch: Caterpie. With the
Pokéball thrown, Ash was determined to
catch this Pokémon (although Misty wasn't
too happy about it!) He didn't mind, for
he was happy and satisfied with his new
Pokémon. However, Ash's inexperience
almost cost him when he had chose to use Caterpie
against a Pidgeotto! Now as we all know,
Bug types are waaaay weak to Birds (in
this case Flying) types! Ash was lucky
though, because then he won just barely
and caught the Pidgeotto!
Ash was on a roll...
Later on in his journies, he would be
encountered by Team Rocket, a notorious
group that planned to steal Ash's Pikachu!
But Ash always thwarted their money
scheming plans and sent them blasting off
again and again! But Team Rocket was the
least of his worries... He was still
learning to be a Pokémon trainer... and
he still had so much to learn! Soon, his
Caterpie evolved into a Metapod... and
Ash had to learn to respect his 'new' Pokémon.
It was with Metapod (after Pikachu) did
Ash learn compassion and empathy for his
Pokémon... and with this bond, Ash would
be able to train his Pokémon to be the
best! And because Ash loved Metapod so
much, it evolved onto Butterfree!

Now, Ash was able to catch some more Pokémon.
He earned the trust of a hard-headed but
loyal and protective Bulbasaur from a
secret village. Then he helped to save
the life and gain the companionship of a
young Charmander. Finally, he tamed the
wild and rebelious Squirtle! With these
three Pokémon, Ash became more stronger
and wiser... |
